Poor Little Civic

Last Monday Brandon got into a little fender bender. None of it was his fault. This lady just wasn't paying attention and slammed into the back of him, which pushed our car forward into the car in front of him. The pictures don't look that bad, but there's quite a bit of damage. I'm just glad that Brandon is ok and that he wasn't hurt.

Weber State Fireworks

Every year Weber State has a 24th of July celebration. They usually have a speaker come and talk about the pioneers and then after they have a symphony play while they have a fireworks show. This year it semed like it happened a little earlier than usual but oh well. So these were actually on the 13th of July.

There are so many people! I heard from someone that it's one of the biggest firework shows in Utah, so people come from all over to watch. This is just a veiw from where we are sitting, there are thousands more! People come at like 5 in the morning and lay blankets and quilts down to save spots. Luckily Brandon's uncle does this. So we had awesome seats!

Ben and Michelle were there too!

Just us!

We all started getting really bored waiting so...we started taking silly pictures! If you have never tried this, then you need to! It's hilarious! What you do is shake your head back and forth really fast and have someone take a picture. These are kind of nasty and I can't believe I'm posting them but they are so funny!

In this one brandon was just buzzing his lips!

Park City

So a few weeks ago we went and stayed up in Park City with Brandon's family. They have a time share up there. It was really nice to just get far enough away from Ogden to have it feel like a vacation. While we were up there we went up to the Olympic Park and played. I haven't been back here since the olympics to watch the ski jumping. Kind of fun!
Brandon is so hard core! Love the snow suit!

Bobsled anyone? They really let people go down the bobsled course in a little tobagan. Crazy!

This is a view from the top of the ski jumps. The skiers climb out onto these bars before the go down. Then they put their skis into those white tracks and go. I don't know who can do this.

Kind of a bad shot, but I still like it.

We took a ride down the zip line. If you look closely you can see Brandon's mom and sister coming down.

4th of July Weekend

On the night of July 3rd. We headed over to Grandma Jones' house for a BBQ and their annual sleep over. It's tradition that all the kids sleep outside in grandma's yard. So we did...worst night sleep ever.

Sorry Michelle. But I had to. It's hilarious!

Aunt Kelly just hanging out with the kids. She's great!

Erin was getting pumped up for her 5K she ran in the morning.

So I woke up at the butt crack of dawn and everyone else was still sleeping. So I had to entertain myself somehow. Brandon kept snoring so he was my victim.

On the morning of the 4th all the family came over for breakfast. and then the kids got in their suits and played on this blow-up water toy. Kathy was hot and really wanted to go on this thing...so she did. It was pretty funny.

Later on that day Brandon and I headed up to Bear Lake where we stayed for the rest of the weekend with his grandma and grandpa Swaner. Ben and Michelle joined us for a night. We went and watched fireworks on the lake. They were kind of lame, but we had awesome seats!

Brandon and I went 4 wheeling the next morning up in the mountains above the lake. It was a great time. Later on we went to the lake to cool off and swim.

And you can't leave grandma and grandpa Swaner's without roasting marshmallows. Great ending to a great weekend. Hope everyone had a Happy 4th!

Kathy's Birthday

Brandon's mom's birthday was on the 28th. Brandon, Ben, Michelle and I went up to Idaho Falls on Friday night and surprised her. She was shocked. We rented sea kayaks on Sat. and went kayaking in Teton National Park. It was beautiful! Unfortunately I have no photos because I didn't want to accidentally drop my camera in the water. But after we were finished we went into Jackson Hole and had dinner and walked around. What a great day. Happy Birthday Kathy!
