Baby's First Halloween!
It only seemed right to follow our theme of ladybugs this year and dress Hailey as one! Isn't she the cutest!(I'm the mom so I have bragging rights!) Brandon and I also went to a Halloween party last week. We went as Nacho Libre(recreational clothes) and Encarnacion. We were going to try for the wrestling outfit for Brandon, but not enough time. We had fun hanging out with Ben and Michelle and the cousins.

Fun Times in CA
Hailey and I took a little trip down to California for a week. I have such a great husband that understands and lets me leave him for a week. We did lots of fun things while we were there. Here's a recap:
Andrea and I got to hang out and do "MOM" things one day. We went to story time at the library and then went to the park after. Hailey swung in the swings for the first time. She loved it!
We went to the Great Park and took a ride on the big orange balloon. It was a little chilly so Hailey was all bundled up. A few days later they put a jack-o-lantern face on the balloon so it looked like a pumpkin. So cute!
Ahh...Disneyland! This was Hailey's second time to Disneyland and she loved it! She loved looking around at everything and going on rides. She was happy all day there. I guess it's called "the happiest place on earth" for a reason! It was all decked out for Halloween. I love it! But it was really hot...hence the nastiness in the pic.
Andrea and I took the kids to Irvine Park where they have the pumpkin patch every year. This was my first time going and it was so cute! They have a bounce house, haunted house, bumper cars, maze, pony rides and a train that goes around the park. Still really hot but fun!
We bought these cute little matching glow-in-the-dark "Bones" jammies for the kids. Lucas loves skeletons right now and is actually going to be a skeleton for Halloween. It was really fun to to see them dancing in the mirror in the bathroom with the lights off!

Watching cartoons with Lukey
Talking with Nana
Lucas wanted to feed Hailey
Loved playing in the exersaucer!
We also went to the swap meet, Nana's work, Papa's work, swimming(waiting on pics!), and we did lots of shopping!

6 Months Old...aka...Chunky Monkey!
I can't believe it's been half a year! Where has the time gone! Hailey has recently started sitting up on her own and has TWO teeth! That could explain her crankiness for the past little while. She has been eating rice cereal and soon to start food. Yay!

Backpackin' it!
We took Hailey on her first hike the other night. It was kind of a test hike to see how she would do. I think she liked it overall...she was a little cranky because she was tired. Oh well. We are going to try going on a longer hike this weekend! Fun fun!

Bug-a-Boo
We finally bought Hailey this little door way jumper because all she wants to do is stand up all the time! This gives me a little break every now and then. She only like to be in it for a short period of time for now, but I'm sure that will change. When I put her in it she just talks and sings, it's really cute!

4 Months
4 months means more shots! Hailey was a trooper though. Just a little cry with each poke. I overheard the nurse as she was walking out say, "Best 4 month shots ever!" She is quite the chatter box lately. And she learned to roll over! She has started to get a little stubborn over car rides. But she is just the best baby ever!

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'
Hailey just learned how to roll from her tummy to her back. I was such a proud mom the day it happened!
Kevin & Yashoda
My Cousin Kevin is getting married next February to a cute girl named Yashoda. They are going to be having an Indian wedding. There was an engagement Party and they have a traditional ceremony announcing the couple. It was really interesting. I can't wait for the wedding! Congrats you two! (I stole these pics off the photographer's site. They were much better than mine.)
A Recap of July...
Kennecott Copper Mines
Brandon had the day off so we decided to go to the copper mines since I had never been. Its huge and pretty amazing. The trucks they have out there are gigantic! It was really really windy!
Fourth of July
I was a bit peeved with Utah this year. 4th of July was on Sunday...therefore nobody had fireworks on Sunday. It was either Saturday or Monday. I guess having fireworks on Sunday would have been breaking the sabbath or something. All I know is that it was a total downer of a day because I didn't feel like 4th of July any of those days. Whatever Utah! But we did go watch some on Sat. night at the Canyons resort in Park City with my cousin Kelly. They were pretty lame and lasted like 5 min. Hailey slept through them like they were nothing!
CA/Andrea's Birthday!
My big sister turned 30 this year!!! My parents were still gone in Italy so I decided to down and celebrate with her and Lucas. We had a blast. We went to eat at Joe's Crab Shack (even though neither of us likes seafood! Who are we?) They made her do a big embarrassing dance in front of the whole restaurant. It was great! I don't know why I don't have more pics. Must have been on someone else's camera. I'll post if I get any.
Jackson Hole
We had our second Leslie Family Reunion in Jackson Hole! Hailey got to meet her great grandparents on the Leslie side for the first time as well as all of my aunts and uncles and cousins from Oregon. It was a great trip and fun to re-connect with family we haven't seen in years. We went to Yellowstone, rode up the tram, went horse back riding, walked around down town Jackson, picnic at Jenny Lake, went swimming, and went to the Bar J for dinner. We could have stayed a few more days!
