Baby Blessing

We blessed Hailey on Sunday May 30th. She was 9 weeks old to the day! It was so great to have my family be able to come up from California and Brandon's family come down from Idaho. Brandon gave a beautiful blessing. One we will always remember. Hailey was so darling in her pretty white dress. We had a little get-together after church at Grandpa Swaner's. So many people came over and we had a great time. We even got to my cousin Kevin and his fiance Yashoda! Great day! Great weekend!

2 Months!

My little bug is 2 months old! 9 weeks old to be exact. We took her in to get her first set of shots on Friday. Brandon was able to go with me because he had to work late that day. I'm glad he did because it was really sad to see her cry the way she did. But she recovered pretty well. (Note to self: give her Tylenol before next shots!) Time has just flown by these past two months. Hailey is learning to smile and is so aware of everything. She love to go on walks and rides in the car. She has been sleeping so well also. Her record so far is 8 1/2 hours! But she averages about 6-7 most of the time.

2 Month Stats

Trip to California!

So Brandon came home one night and told me Jet Blue was running a special for $10 air fare! I immediately jumped online to see where this special included. It was my lucky day because there was SLC to LGB! We couldn't pass this great deal by. So Hailey and I jumped on a plane the next day and fly down to California for a week to visit Nana and Papa. Here's what we did while we were there:

First Trip to Disneyland!
Hailey Did great! She slept off and on all day and was just peachy. My mom and dad came and met up with us in the evening. Hailey got to go on Winnie the Pooh, Haunted Mansion, and A Small World. The grandparents took the kids home and Andrea and I got to play a little!

Luke's 3rd Birthday
I can't believe Luke is 3! He wanted a pink eyeball cake...so Andrea did the best she could for him. He has a book with a pink eyeball cake in it and he was dead set on it. Darren and Emily and the kids came over for dinner and cake. I can't believe how big Lucy is. It's crazy to think that in a year Hailey will be as big as she is.

Visited the Grandparents
Hailey got to see her Great Grandparents on the Clark side in San Diego for the first time. I am so glad that some of the family has gotten to meet her while she is little. Lisa was so cute with her! We also got to take a 4 generation shot. So special.

 Hung out with family...
Luke is so cute with Hailey. One morning my mom went in to Luke's room when he was waking up. He wanted Hailey to be in his crib with him! It was really cute. It is so fun to hang out with my family. Even though I've seen them a lot the last couple of months, it's still really hard to be away and to have to go home. Love you guys!

Mother's Day

My very first Mother's Day! It was so wonderful to celebrate my first Mother's Day with my new little baby! She was six weeks old on Mother's Day. We spent the weekend up in Idaho Falls. It was our first trip with the baby and she did awesome. I had a great weekend. I got a fabulous pedicure from my sister-in Jessica and did a little baby shopping with Kathy.

Being a mom has been such a wonderful and fulfilling experience. Everyday I spend with Hailey, I realize some little new thing about her and can't help but to love her that much more. She is so patient with me as I try to learn and figure out her wants and needs. I love her so much!

Happy Mother's Day!

Catch up time!

So I'm going to work really hard to catch up on all the missed postings! Here we go!

Lately...

So here are some more recent pics of Hailey. I'm probably going to turn into one of those people that is constantly posting pictures of their baby. Sorry, but I'm sure the grandmas appreciate it!

So I will recap the past few weeks for everyone...My mom and dad were both here the week Hailey was born. My dad had to leave to go back to work but my mom stayed another week to help me. And boy was it nice to have her here! She cooked us fabulous meals and cleaned the house for me. Oh and she helped out with the early morning shift a few times when Hailey was fussy or not tired! It was really hard to have to say goodbye to her and send her back home. I wished we lived closer! Web cam for now.

This is a little beanie a lady from my work made for me. So cute!

I love this little jogging suit on her.

My little pacifier baby. Seriously though, she loves to suck!

So after my mom left my sister and nephew Luke came to visit. Which was so nice because I was so sad my mom had left. They stayed for about a week. It was so fun to see how Luke was around a new little baby for an extended period of time. He was very interested in what was happening all the time. When I would go change her diaper, he would run after me to come and watch! Or she would be sitting in her papasan chair sucking on her pacifier and it would fall out and she would start to fuss. He would run over and put it back in her mouth. While he was putting it in her mouth he would say "It's ok, It's ok" or "open wide" or "ahhhh." So cute! He would also do this for her in the car if she was fussy in her car seat.

So the other night she was sitting in her swing...which she loves by the way... and I caught her sleeping like this

She's Here!!!

Our precious baby girl Hailey Jo Swaner is here! She was born March 28th, 2010. She weighed 8lbs. 6 oz.and was 20.5 in. long. She is a strong healthy baby and just as sweet as can be!

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, good tempered little baby. I can't believe the love and the bond that we have for her already. Being a parent is an amazing experience. But also a lot of work! But we are learning everyday how to be better parents for this special little spirit. Here are a few highlights from her first couple of days. I can't believe how much she changes everyday!

We love you Hailey!

Brandon's New Job!!!

So Brandon just accepted a new job working for Stevens-Henager College in Murray, UT. He will be working as an admissions assistant and getting people to attend their school. He is really excited about this big career change. It will definitely be hard leaving the outdoor industry, especially Rossignol. He has made some really good friends out there. Maybe he can go back to work with them again in the future! But things just worked out at the right time. With the baby coming at the end of March, I'm going to have to stop working. We were kind of stressing about jobs and one that could support both of our incomes enough that I could stay home. And this was our answer. I don't quite fully understand all the details of the job yet, but I will! Brandon starts his first day on March 3rd. We are considering moving down to the SLC area to be closer, but we'll have to see. We are really excited about this! So proud of you honey!

Waiting on Baby!

I'm so in love with the baby's bed/bedding! We had it custom made in California from "The Baby Guy." He has the best stuff! We finally got our crib and bedding all put together. Now our spare/junk room feels more like the baby's room! Can't wait!
