Road Kill!

While we were journeying back from Jackson Hole, we hit a stupid raccoon! It was about 11:00 at night and were were in BFE Wyoming! Not to mention that it was cold and rainy. So all of the sudden this raccoon just walks out in front of us on the highway, and it was either hit the raccoon, or swerve and possibly kill us all. So obviously the raccoon lost....so did the Honda....

Who knew a raccoon could do such damage? Destroyed the front bumper, caved in the radiator, and bent the frame. The sad part about all of this is that we just got our car out of the shop not even two weeks ago, after having it in for 45 days! The bumper had just been re-painted as well. Wo is me.

This left us stranded on the side of the highway until the police could come pick us up. We had to stay the night in a little motel/topless bar. Don't worry that the front desk check-in is inside the bar. Interesting night to say the least.

TGR Movie Premier

This last weekend we went up to Jackson Hole to see the premier for the Teton Gravity Research Movie. For those of you who don't know what that is, its basically a ski/snowboard movie. Brandon and his family love these movies. And it's really fun to go to the premier because there are a bunch of the pro athletes there and they give away free skis, jackets, etc.

Happy Anniversary

I can't believe that it has been 3 years since we have been married. Time has really flown by. Brandon made reservations for us at the Roof Restaurant in Salt Lake. It was such nice evening.

Our view...

Brandon totally surprised me with a new ipod touch! My old nano wasn't cutting it. It's so cool! I love it!

Thank you Brandon for 3 wonderful years. I love you so much. You are the best husband!

Nayna!

Right after my parents were here, Andrea and Luke came to visit us for a few days. I miss these two so much. Luke is getting so big and of course is the cutest kid out there! He just barely started walking a little while he was here. And the best we could do with getting him to say my name was "Nayna". Unfortunately I don't have very many picts from their trip.

Playing at the mall...yeah he is still in his pj's. We made him go run some errands early one morning. Oh well.

Andrea and I took Luke to the zoo fot the first time while they were here. We ventured down to Hogle Zoo. Luke was very interested in all the animals. But he likes the bears beacaus he knows what they say!

Parade of Homes

Like I mentioned earlier, while my parents were here we went to the Parade of Homes in Salt Lake. Here are my 3 favorites in no particular order:

1.

9,600 sq. ft. $3 million

2.
9,895 sq. ft. $2.7 million

3.

6,622 sq. ft. $2.5 million

Ok, so really loved this last one. (sigh). One day I will have a house like this...maybe.

Family Time!

My parents came up to visit us for a week. We had such a blast! First we went to Bear Lake for a few days. We also went up to Park City for a day and visited the Olympic Park. We got tickets to go see the Parade of Homes in Salt Lake (pictures to come). On the way we stopped by Bingham High School so my parents could walk around. That's where they met. How cute!

Bear Lake: Minetonka Caves, etc.

Park City: Olympic Park

We took a ride down the zipline

Bingham High School:

Dad's old math classroom . . . he says it hasn't changed much.

Poor Little Civic

Last Monday Brandon got into a little fender bender. None of it was his fault. This lady just wasn't paying attention and slammed into the back of him, which pushed our car forward into the car in front of him. The pictures don't look that bad, but there's quite a bit of damage. I'm just glad that Brandon is ok and that he wasn't hurt.

Weber State Fireworks

Every year Weber State has a 24th of July celebration. They usually have a speaker come and talk about the pioneers and then after they have a symphony play while they have a fireworks show. This year it semed like it happened a little earlier than usual but oh well. So these were actually on the 13th of July.

There are so many people! I heard from someone that it's one of the biggest firework shows in Utah, so people come from all over to watch. This is just a veiw from where we are sitting, there are thousands more! People come at like 5 in the morning and lay blankets and quilts down to save spots. Luckily Brandon's uncle does this. So we had awesome seats!

Ben and Michelle were there too!

Just us!

We all started getting really bored waiting so...we started taking silly pictures! If you have never tried this, then you need to! It's hilarious! What you do is shake your head back and forth really fast and have someone take a picture. These are kind of nasty and I can't believe I'm posting them but they are so funny!

In this one brandon was just buzzing his lips!

Park City

So a few weeks ago we went and stayed up in Park City with Brandon's family. They have a time share up there. It was really nice to just get far enough away from Ogden to have it feel like a vacation. While we were up there we went up to the Olympic Park and played. I haven't been back here since the olympics to watch the ski jumping. Kind of fun!
Brandon is so hard core! Love the snow suit!

Bobsled anyone? They really let people go down the bobsled course in a little tobagan. Crazy!

This is a view from the top of the ski jumps. The skiers climb out onto these bars before the go down. Then they put their skis into those white tracks and go. I don't know who can do this.

Kind of a bad shot, but I still like it.

We took a ride down the zip line. If you look closely you can see Brandon's mom and sister coming down.

4th of July Weekend

On the night of July 3rd. We headed over to Grandma Jones' house for a BBQ and their annual sleep over. It's tradition that all the kids sleep outside in grandma's yard. So we did...worst night sleep ever.

Sorry Michelle. But I had to. It's hilarious!

Aunt Kelly just hanging out with the kids. She's great!

Erin was getting pumped up for her 5K she ran in the morning.

So I woke up at the butt crack of dawn and everyone else was still sleeping. So I had to entertain myself somehow. Brandon kept snoring so he was my victim.

On the morning of the 4th all the family came over for breakfast. and then the kids got in their suits and played on this blow-up water toy. Kathy was hot and really wanted to go on this thing...so she did. It was pretty funny.

Later on that day Brandon and I headed up to Bear Lake where we stayed for the rest of the weekend with his grandma and grandpa Swaner. Ben and Michelle joined us for a night. We went and watched fireworks on the lake. They were kind of lame, but we had awesome seats!

Brandon and I went 4 wheeling the next morning up in the mountains above the lake. It was a great time. Later on we went to the lake to cool off and swim.

And you can't leave grandma and grandpa Swaner's without roasting marshmallows. Great ending to a great weekend. Hope everyone had a Happy 4th!
