July

Here are some random happenings from this month, none really worthy of it's own post. I will be getting to our Whistler trip soon!

Hailey started walking the day before we left for Canada. She practiced the whole time we were there and she is a pro now!

Picnic at the park with Daddy. She loves her Da Da.

Our first boo boo. She fell walking up the stairs one day. Now she points to her knee and "owee"

We went to the rodeo for Ogden Pioneer Days. Hailey liked the cows and the horses, but liked walking around the bleachers more!

Splashing at the splash pad

We went to Lagoon for the BYU-I Alumni Day. Had to play in the water and then hit up a few rides.

Headed down to Thanksgiving Point to the Children's Gardens. So fun, but kind of a long drive.

4th of July

This year we went up to Bear Lake with the Swaner's. We had a great time swimming in the pool, riding 4 wheelers, playing some intense badminton, roasting marshmallows, playing horse shoes and eating! Hailey had a not so great time NOT sleeping. Needless to say there were some long nights driving around in the dark. The lake is so full this year that there is literally no beach! So we didn't really venture down there. We had a great time. Thank you Clix for letting us invade your place!

Brandon, Hailey and I ended up in Park City that night for fireworks. Hailey liked them for a few minutes and then she was over it.

Hailey loved this little chair that was just her size

Great Gpa Swaner

Reading the on the Nook with Grandma

The cute little neighbor kids dressed up as glow stick people and put on a show for their family. We had to get a picture!

 The Game.

Riding the 4 wheeler with Daddy. She loved it! She would drive by and wave. (don't worry...they were just putting around block)

Hooray for Walking!

So Hailey has been taking steps for months now, but she has been a little apprehensive to walk all by herself. She is a pro at walking while holding onto one finger (even just barely!) So tonight when Brandon came home from work he got her to walk from our living room into our bedroom all by herself! Then later on we were outside and she totally was walking up and down the sidewalk over and over! She was walking up onto the grass....just being so independent. It's really exciting!

Sorry about the random talking, I wanted to video while talking to the neighbors.

15 Months

Seriously...where has the time gone?! I can't believe Hailey is on her way to one and a half. I remember when Hailey was born or even before that, reading other people's blogs about their kids and thinking that was so far away. Time just creeps up on ya. So anyway Hailey is 15 months. She is very strong willed which is a nice way of saying stubborn :) She is getting more and more independent everyday. She love to throw tantrums, which is slightly annoying, but I'm hoping this will get better with time...??? She is still not walking, well not by herself anyway. She is just afraid to walk without someone holding her hand. Otherwise she thinks it's great. But it's killing my back! She can feed herself now but makes a huge mess! Loves to throw food on the floor. Won't eat any vegetables. Loves fruit. Throws things when she is mad. Loves to read books still. Is starting to sing a little-really cute! Has 9 teeth with 3 on their way. Is a great talker. Can repeat almost anything we ask her or that she wants. The other day I was putting her in her car seat and she said "thank you." Love that she is so polite! Still loves her doggy. Is learning her body parts. She knows nose, eyes, ears, mouth, hair, tummy, and toes sometimes. She is a great sleeper and likes to go night-night. She just went down to one nap a day. She understands and uses the word "no" frequently. She loves to go swimming and loves her bath time. The other day a Disneyland commercial came on tv and got excited all by herself. I love that she knows and loves Disneyland! She gets so excited when her Daddy comes home. It's really cute. That's all I can think of for now...I'll add more if something comes to me.

Weekend Fun!

So this past weekend Jeff and Kathy came down for their Anniversary/Kathy's Birthday. We met up with them and Ben and Michelle in Salt Lake at This is the Place Heritage Park. I haven't been there since I was a little girl and  neither had anyone else. It was fun to walk around but it was Hot!!! Later we went up to Deer Valley where Jeff and Kathy were staying to go swimming and have dinner. It was a nice little weekend with the fam!

Touching the goat's nose. She's obsessed with animal's noses!

 The pony's nose

Attempting the pony ride. She lasted like one more second and wanted off.

 In school....

Brandon in trouble for not doing his homework!

Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day minus the rain! It just poured all day long. Oh well. Hailey and I got up and made breakfast for Brandon so he could sleep in. The night before I also made a fruit boquet for Brandon. He has always told me that he wanted one. It was really fun to make and even more fun to eat! Here are a few pictures as requested by some...

Consisted of Pineapple, strawberries, Chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolate dipped marshmallows, grapes and caramel apple slices. Yum!

Other Happenings

So we decided to go to D-Land another day while we were down b/c I ended up buying a pass! So fun to just go for a few hours with no stress.
Hailey really does like the carousel, her face just doesn't show it.

Can't get enough of this sweetness!

Hailey loves, loves, loves dogs! All she wants to do is touch their noses. She loved Dusty. He is so good with her.

Again with the cuteness. Gotta love those two front teeth!

We went to Zoomar's which is this cute little petting zoo in San Clemente. They have a big area with rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens to hold and feed. Lucas was a pro. Poor little Hailey wasn't feeling to great that day but was a trooper.

This little guy was Lucas' little buddy

Lucas turns 4...

I'm a month late, but I just got the pics so go with it. Lucas turned 4 on May 17th and Hailey and I were lucky enough to go down and celebrate. I have been there for all of his other birthdays so it only made sense.

We went to Disneyland for the big day and we took Luke and Sherra Starr. They are like siblings to Lucas and are so good to him. He had a blast with only one melt down I think!

We went to Rainforrest Cafe later that night for dinner and met up with my parents. Lucas opened presents and we had a chocolate volcano cake.

This picture cracks me up!

Such a big boy now!
